ABOUT SKY & MISSION

Spokane Sky Volleyball Club is committed to:

Teaching the fundamentals, advanced skills, strategies and tactics of volleyball in an enjoyable, yet competitive environment;

Facilitating player and team growth by encouraging competition at multi-regional tournaments;

Promoting good sportsmanship, character, and the concept of teamwork;

Challenging young women to set goals, develop their ability to focus and to rise to their potential both on and off the court; and

Fostering clear communication between players, coaches, parents, and board members.

Spokane Sky Volleyball Club was established in 1999. Steve and Vicki Hertz and Penny Wohrle were the club's first directors whose vision was to provide an opportunity for Shadle-bound girls to play volleyball and to have fun. From 2001 to 2005, Club Director Joanne White continued that mission while broadening the scope to include players from all of Spokane. In 2005 Spokane Sky transitioned to a board and became established as a non-profit organization. Currently we have no school affiliation.
